Day 6: Edinburgh -> Loch Ness via St. Andrews

To start our day, we drove across the Scottish countryside to the town of St. Andrews; the birthplace of golf. A fact that might be a bit more exciting if I actually enjoyed golf, but it was still a very nice town with quite a bit to see, and even the golf courses were cool to see. We started by exploring the ruins of St. Andrews Cathedral and its surrounding cemetery. It was so amazing to see those ruins next to a beautiful view of the ocean.

We then strolled up and down the three streets that make up the town and wandered through the beautiful university. Actually, it was where Prince William and Kate Middleton went to college together and started dating. The campus was gorgeous and had spectacular views of the ocean from almost every window.

To end our time in St. Andrews, we went down to see the golf courses. A few people on our tour paid a couple pounds to play a little put put on the famous green grass.

After loading back on the bus, we journeyed up into the Scottish highlands to the mysterious Loch Ness. Once there, we hopped onto a ship to tour around the lake and to search for the elusive Loch Ness Monster!

This whole area was just so fantastically beautiful and the water was so amazing looking, it makes you just want to jump in right? No? Well that's why it's called the Loch Ness Challenge! Most of the people on our tour, including myself, took that challenge. We donned our swim suits and jumped off a dock into the freezing water.

That night, after getting all warmed up and having dinner, we all gathered in the hotel bar for an amazing trivia night. Our team was called The Lost Boys and Girls! We had an awesome time and we came in 4th!! Definitely a great way to end an epic day!
